Rules of Pirin Golf & Country Club

Taking into consideration the 600 years golf history and tradition and your safety in Pirin Golf & Country Club, we entreat all visitors and guests to respect the following rules. Our goal is to provide you with the best service in golf, but please, follow the Rules and Etiquette approved by the R & A and the Bulgarian Golf Association, and in particular Rule 6.

Safety Rules

• Players should ensure that nobody is standing nearby or in a position to be hit by the club, the ball or any stones, pebbles, twigs or suchlike when they make a stroke or practice their swing.
• Before hitting the ball from places with poor visibility, players should ensure that no one is in close proximity.
• Golfers from one group or flight should not carry on forward before all players in the group completed their shots.
• Keep distance from the previous flight.

General Rules

• Treat other players and the course with courtesy and respect.
• When using a golf cart, please, drive only on the concrete cart paths.
• Please, replace all divots and repair pitch marks.
• Please keep carts and trolleys off the tees and greens.
• If a player fails to hole out in 9 strokes, they should pick up the ball and write down a score of 0.
• Before leaving a bunker, players should carefully fill up and smooth over all holes and footprints made by them or others.
• During a round of golf players should have: extra balls, tees, ball marker, pitch fork (all items could be found in the Pro shop).

Pace of Play

• If a player believes his ball may be lost outside a water hazard or is out of bounds, to save time, he should play a provisional ball, according to Rule 27-2.
• If a group or a player fails to keep the pace of play, they should invite the following group or golfer to play through, and wait until they are beyond striking distance.
• After finishing a hole the player with the highest score is to play first on the next tee. The player should complete their shot first and then mark the score on their card.

Internal rules on the Driving range

• The practice facilities can be used without reservation after payng Range Fee at the Pro Shop.
• When practicing with forewind, from the front side of the Driving range (next to the Half-way House), please keep in mind the distance to the Academy.
• In strong forewind only irons are allowed at the Academy site.
• Playing with range balls on the golf course is not allowed.
• Please practice on the driving range only with golf balls from the dispenser. The balls are property of Pirin Golf & Country Club and shouldn´t be taken away.
• On the putting and chipping greens you can use your own golf balls after payng Range Fee in the Pro Shop.
• Please keep carts, trolleys off the practice tees and greens.
